In the thirteenth century, Garth Celyn, the promontory on the north coast of Gwynedd, was the site of the home of the Welsh Princes of Wales- ​​Llywelyn ab Iorwerth, Dafydd ap Llywelyn, Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. It was the birthplace of Princess Gwenllian ferch Llywelyn.​

The rich culture and character of the Welsh Nation can only be explained through historical accuracy, and talented storytelling - a genuine history that is solid and enduring.

The Garth Celyn Trust and its supports aim to protect and preserve the site known as Garth Celyn for the benefit of present and future generations, to create a lasting memorial to the Princes and their achievements.
